Terms & Conditions
Tuition:
Monthly tuition fees are all inclusive and cover registration fees, class fees, administration, end of year costume hire, production fees, concert DVD, photo shoot day, extra concert rehearsals, and registration fees. Monthly tuition fees are based on the entire year's fees being calculated and divided into 11 monthly payments from February to December. The monthly fee remains the same regardless of the amount of days in the month or whether there are school or public holidays. Please note, monthly tuition fees do not include photos, exams, workshops or uniform costs. Fees are inclusive of GST.
Payment:
Monthly tuition fees must be paid via Direct Debit on the 1st of each month in order to attend classes.
Late Fee:
Direct debit that fails will attract fees from Payrix. Please ensure that sufficient funds are available on the 1st of each month. Invoices must be paid in full in order for a student to attend classes and perform in The Dance Academy’s annual concert. Please contact the administration team at info@thedanceacademy.com.au or call 0406 094 038 if you need to discuss your payment. Catch-Up Fee: Students enrolling in classes for the first time after the month of February will have a one-off catch-up fee added to their first month of tuition to cover the inclusions mentioned above (excluding classes). The fee is prorated and the amount will vary depending on the month that the student commences and the amount of classes they are enrolled in. Please note Tiny Twirlers participants are not charged the catch - up fee as this age group does not participate in concerts.
Money Back Guarantee:
We pride ourselves on delivering quality dance classes to our students and we are confident that your child will love their dance classes. We no longer offer trial classes or casual enrolment. We know that committing to a new activity can be scary which is why if this is your very first time at The Dance Academy we offer a money back guarantee for the first month of enrolment. If within one month from the date of your first class you feel our programs are not the right fit for your family we will refund your paid tuition amount (excluding classes attended) We do ask that you attend at least two classes so that you can get a feel for our classes and dance family. If your chosen classes don't seem to suit your needs we are more than happy to help you find your perfect class.
Refund Policy:
Refunds will not be given under any circumstances for missed classes. Students are welcome to attend a "make up" class during Terms 1-3 only. Make up classes are only permitted in the term that they are missed and no make up classes are available in Term 4 due to concert preparations. Refunds will not be issued due to The Dance Academy’s inability to run face to face classes due to enforced lockdowns. The Dance Academy will run online classes in the event of any Government enforced closures. All current students will be transferred to the online platform for the duration of the closure/lockdown.
Cancellation of classes:
In rare circumstances the The Dance Academy may have to cancel a class. TDA will make every effort to offer an alternative class. If this is not deemed possible a credit will be given to affected students. Attendance: If you know ahead of time that your child will be absent due to holidays, family commitments or school trips please let us know.
Missed Lessons & Make-Up Classes:
Make-up classes are offered as a courtesy for students who have missed classes due to illness or unforeseen personal circumstances. The class can be booked through the online customer portal. Classes are subject to availability. Make-up classes must not take place during parent-viewing week, or during Term 4 when concert choreography is prioritised. Classes need to be taken in the same age group and can be taken at our other studio locations. Please refer to the current timetable for details of suitable classes. Missed make-up lessons are forfeited and cannot be rescheduled.
Withdrawal from classes:
If you wish to withdraw from a class or change classes it is a requirement that you notify The Dance Academy in writing to info@thedanceacademy.com.au A 14 day cancellation period applies. If written notification has not been received 14 days prior to the 1st of the month direct debit fees will be charged for the following month. School & Public Holidays: The Dance Academy does not hold classes on public holidays or during school holidays. Sometimes workshops, exam preparation or performance team rehearsals may be scheduled during school holidays.
